Lawn Care - Landscaping - Irrigation

Landscape maintenance program.

Lawn Care
Includes yard debris removal, (See note at the end of this page) cutting of all turf areas at 3”-3½”, trimming the grass around trees, around the landscape borders, etc.  Also includes edging of all walks, drives, and sidewalks and blowing clippings from drives, walks, and sidewalks.  Cut day will be on Thursday/Friday.

Core Aeration         August 30th

Fertilization/Weed Control (all dates approximate)

  • Feb. 15th		   5-5-25 with Barricade  (Crabgrass pre-emergent)
  • March 30th	   20-4-10 w/ Dimension (Crabgrass pre-emergent)
  • April 15th                     Fungicide for all ornamantal trees, shrubs and shrubs
  • May 1st		   Broadleaf Spray 
  • May 21st		   Broadleaf Spray
  • June 15th                     Fertilizer 19-5-10 w/ 4% Iron Preventative/Curative Fungicide Spray
  • July 15th		   Insecticide Turf Application 
                                       (Control for damage causing and nuisance pests) 
    		   Preventative/Curative Fungicide Spray
  • Aug. 30th		   Fertilizer 18-24-12 Overseed Five Star Fescue 4# per 1000 sq. ft.
  • Oct. 15th		   Fertilizer (Winterizer)    36-3-7
  • Nov. 15th		   Gypsum 7#/1000 sq. ft (CalciumApplication)

(Your turf will be monitored for fungus, insect, and weed infestation. If additional applications are necessary you will ne notified promptly.)

LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE
Four applications of Pennant Magnum for all planted beds and rock beds.

SPRING CLEANUP (STARTS APPROX. APRIL 15TH)
This includes edging of all beds, pruning all shrubs, landscape planting trees, perennials, general cleanup of all beds. Any plants which have died during the winter will be removed and replaced at this time. (Additional Charge may result)

MULCH (Starts approx. april 20th)
Mulching of all planter beds

SUMMER BED MAINTENANCE
All mulched beds to be edged and mulch to be “turned” , pruning of all shrubs, landscape planting trees and perennials. Any plants which have died during the summer will be removed and replaced at this time. (Additional Charge may result)

WEEKLY WEEDING OF BEDS
Nelson Land will provide weekly bed weeding for all landscaped and rocked areas to keep beds free from weeds. All fallen tree limbs and branches will also be removed April 15th thru September 15th

FALL BED MAINTENANCE
All mulched beds to be edged and mulch to be “turned”, pruning of all shrubs, landscape planting trees and perennials. Any plants which have died during the summer will be removed and replaced at this time. (Additional Charge may result)

LEAF REMOVAL
Leaf removal includes removal of all fallen leaves from turf areas, gravel beds, mulched areas, walks and drives. Disposal for collected leaves is included. Approx. Dates: October 15th, November 4th, November 25th, and December 15th

  SUMMER AND FALL SYSTEM CHECK

NOTES:

  • Yard debris removal referred to above means yard debris, shrub clippings, prunings, etc.
    Not household trash!   Grass clippings are not picked up, they mulched into the lawn.

  • If you wish to add plants or trees, please contact the POA manager for approval prior to planting.  Any planting in the lawn areas may cause an increase in our landscape maintainance cost.
